take me home
i volunteer at mid-hudson animal aid, a local no-kill sanctuary where cats roam freely in large, cageless rooms. these photographs were taken in the "great room," where the cats you see live in the hopes of someone walking through the door, picking them up, and taking them home. the cute ones last a month or two; others live here for years. prints are available for $25 each, with all proceeds going directly to MHAA. contact me for details. -
grand central terminal
a thrumming hub of flurried activity, grand central, for me, is the heart of manhattan. many of these photos were taken while commuting from two hours away; i'm planning to include some of these in an upcoming show about finding beauty on the way to work. -

iphoneography
most cellphones nowadays have built-in cameras... but there's something about the way the iphone and its multifarious apps let you manipulate images to the same level of creative glee you get when playing around in photoshop and lightroom. it's fun, plain and simple. and i'm always surprised by the end results. -
requiem
i find myself profoundly moved when i find a dead animal, and reaching for my camera seems to be the only thing i can do. i'm honored to come across these lost lives so that i may bear witness to their existence and their beauty. -
ttv (through the viewfinder)
this is a series of photographs taken with a digital SLR camera. they show the reflected images seen in the viewfinder of old twin-lens reflex cameras, including a 1950s argus argoflex seventy-five, a 1940s spartus full-vue, a kodak brownie starflex, a 1936 german voigtländer, a 1954 anscoflex II, and several other antique box cameras. several of these images are currently on display at gallery 400 square in beacon, ny. -
